The aspect of palliative care is a broad term used to describe the holistic approach to managing, treating, and supporting patients with a serious or life-threatening illness. It focuses on providing patients with relief from the various symptoms, pain, physical stress, and mental stress associated with their illness, whatever the diagnosis.
V Care Cancer Centre’s goal of palliative care for cancer treatment is to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Palliative care can be given to only those patients for whom all other treatment has failed or to those for whom no other treatment can work, given the last stages of their illness. The primary aim of this stage through palliative care is to provide maximum comfort & ease for the time being.
